SUMMIT VENUE

The inaugural edition of the Rental Living Summit will take place in the vibrant Freight Island in Manchester , a unique destination in the heart of the city. Situated in the historic Depot Mayfield, just minutes away from Manchester Piccadilly, Freight Island offers a cultural hub set against the backdrop of historical industrial architecture, providing the perfect setting for a day of new possibilities, inspiring conversations, and meaningful connections.

Prior to the main event day, attendees can enjoy a site visit (by appointment only), to Capital & Centric's, Kampus. This interesting build to rent asset incorporates conservation buildings from the 1960s as well as new build to create over 500 homes, alongside the canal which flows into the site and specially created public squares and pocket parks.

This will be followed by a networking drinks reception followed by a short panel debate at Neptune Mill.

ADDITIONAL VENUES AND SITE VISITS

SITE VISIT AT NEW MAKER YARDS

Located within Middlewood Locks along the canal, New Maker Yards by Get Living has been operating since 2019 and is home to 1,400 residents. Offering 821 homes close to both Manchester and Salford city centres, as well as Manchester Airport, the neighbourhood is a thriving community built around green spaces. Residents can make use of exclusive amenities including the clubroom and a dedicated co-working space, “The Lock”, supported by the independent roaster and coffee shop, 92 degrees.

CLOSING PARTY AT SALON MADRE

Salon Madre is a tequila bar, pool hall and Mexican street food hangout tucked into the Kampus neighbourhood of Manchester, right next door to its sister restaurant, Madre. With its neon glow, retro interiors and high-energy vibe, it channels the spirit of a Mexico City dive bar, a little gritty, colourful and unapologetically fun.

SITE VISIT AT KAMPUS

Take part in an exclusive site visit to Kampus,  a standout build-to-rent development by Capital & Centric. This vibrant neighbourhood blends restored 1960s conservation buildings with striking new architecture to create over 500 homes, set along a canal that flows through the site. The development features a lush canal-side garden, independent bars and restaurants, and a rooftop village of Amsterdam-inspired ‘Dutch houses’. Kampus offers a unique, community-focused environment that combines historical character with modern living.

DRINKS RECEPTION AT NEPTUNE MILL

A beautifully restored 19th-century mill in Manchester’s Piccadilly East, sets the stage for our pre-summit networking drinks reception and panel discussion. Transformed by Capital & Centric into 22,000 sq ft of creative workspace, the Grade II listed building retains its original red brickwork, timber beams, and cast-iron columns, complemented by modern design elements. Join us in this characterful setting to connect with fellow attendees and gain insights ahead of the main summit.
